Today, August 25, 2025, as we celebrate the heavenly birthday of Donna Danna – my wife, and the mother of our children, Monica, Jill and Kailey, I find myself reflecting on the incredible 50 years we shared together.
August 25th will always be a day of celebration, a reminder of the joy and love you brought into countless lives during your time on this earth.
Donna, you are my greatest supporter – your laughter that filled our home with warmth and your kindness that touched everyone you met. I cherish the countless memories we shared together, beginning at the young ages of 17 & 19.
As we remember you on this special day, I also hold close to the bittersweet reality of your passing just two days later, on August 27, 2020.
The pain of losing you is still brutal, but I find comfort in knowing your spirit lives on – in the love we shared, and in the many lives you touched.
My heart remained broken from the day God called you home, but I’m still here – doing my best to follow His plan, and yours – to provide for our family and friends without you by my side.
So happy heavenly birthday, Donna Danna. You will always be in our hearts, and we’ll continue to celebrate not only your birthday but every day, through the love we share as a family.
We all miss you terribly, so until we meet again, I’m sending you a birthday prayer and looking forward to the day when our souls will be together forever and ever, Amen.
