Joe Danna knows Harris County inside and out because he’s called it home his entire life. He was born at St. Joseph and raised with 8 sisters and 1 brother. Harris County is where he worked his first paper route at 9 years old, where he started a business, where he and his late wife raised their children and where he’s now served as a law enforcement officer for nearly 3 decades.

Joe Danna is a Master Peace Officer and has worked in every division of the Constable’s Office. He has extensive experience coordinating law enforcement efforts with the FBI, HPD, HCSO and TXDOT. He also volunteers with Toastmasters in Texas Prisons.

It has been his privilege to serve the citizens of Harris County. You are his family, his friends, his neighbors, hi colleagues and his community. He knows what you go through every day. He’s seen every hidden corner of Harris County. From boardrooms to bus stops, people are driven to keep their loved ones safe.

As Harris County’s next Sheriff, Joe Danna will use his expertise to bring practical and inexpensive solutions which will reduce outrageously high response times, put more deputies on the streets and engage in outreach to mend broken relationships between law enforcement and the citizens of Harris County.

From the release of repeat offenders who go on to murder innocent citizens to insufficient training for detention officers, it’s time for change. It’s time for transparency. It’s time to restore trust. It’s time for leadership. It’s time for Joe Danna.

This county matters, not just to the citizens who live here, but nationally. Harris County is the most ethnically and racially diverse county in the United States and its citizens demand leadership that is committed to putting civilian and officer safety above all else.
